The Death Penalty Is Outdated And Unconstitutional

Several states have either banned or discussed banning the death penalty, including California, where the governor has dubbed it an archaic and cruel practice. Over 150 people have been exonerated on death row since the 1970s and that number is likely far below the number of innocent people who have been put to death for committing a crime. The very fact that we can't ever convict a person with a 100% certainty is proof enough that the death penalty shouldn't be used.

Oasis Tea Zone

Is there anything more soothing than a nice cup of tea after a long day? I enjoyed a homemade London Fog yesterday after spending the day with a bunch of kids and teens. It was a fun but long day and that tea was just what I needed. At Oasis Tea Zone, you can sit back and sip back, drinking your cares away without the booze.

Edible Crafts

Why just make crafts when you can make EDIBLE crafts? It is so much fun to create pretty items to enjoy--and then eat! From gingerbread houses to peep dioramas, models of countries and planets and everything in between, crafting snacks is the way to go. You don't end up with the clutter that a lot of crafts result in, either!

Radioactive Waste 385 - Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation Developing Processes For Recycling Vitrified Waste

One of the suggested ways of permanently disposing of spent nuclear fuel and other highly radioactive wastes is to mix them with sand and chemicals and heat the mixture until it turns into glass logs. This is referred to as vitrification.

Nuclear Reactors 662 - Nuclear Industry Appealing To Nuclear Regulatory Commission For Relief From Inspections and Reporting

Many years ago, shortly after I left college, I was talking to some folks about nuclear power. I said that I was confident that engineers could design safe systems but that we would have to rely on government and industry to be far more competent and honest than they had ever been in order to use nuclear power without major accidents.

Stewie's POV

Mom. Mommy. Mama. Mom. Mom...

Even those who don't watch Family Guy on the regular know who Stewie Griffin is. One of the most meme-able faces of our time just happens to belong to a foul-mouthed, weirdly British baby with plans for world domination or, at the very least, the Freudian destruction of his own mother. Fun! One of the many things that don't make sense about Stewie is the fact that nobody in the Griffin household understands what he says save for his BFF, the family dog and heavy drinker, Brian.

Spring Garden Prep

The daffodils and crocuses have bloomed and then some where I live and it's high time to start prepping those gardens for springtime! Whether you grow an abundant veggie and fruit garden or beautiful flowers for show, if you're not ready for spring yet, now is the time to get prepared for warmer weather. I already have friends requesting chicken manure so it's definitely on many peoples' minds!

When Nature Makes Our Jaws Drop

When it comes to Mother Nature, most of us get how insignificant we are. All it takes is one "natural disaster" to wipe out many of us, and even if we're destroyed via climate change, as it would seem is currently happening, the Earth will probably be fine, healing itself with another Ice Age or something once we are gone. It's a sobering thought, just as bitter as it is sweet, and if there's any consolation for the pain we feel regarding the leaders who refuse to take any action to repair the damage we've done, it's that nature is one resilient force.

Using Edible Gold

Instead of recipes this week, let's talk edible gold! Did you ever think that it wasn't really edible? I know I did when I was younger. Since then I've seen it in many forms, real and otherwise, that have been both dazzling and peculiar. Sometimes you just have to wonder why anyone would add edible gold to a dish, while at other times it really does elevate a drink or treat into something special.
